Head and Neck Reconstruction
With Head and Neck Reconstruction, we restore both function and aesthetics to the intricate structures of the head and neck.
Reconstruction in this delicate area often involves repairing defects resulting from trauma, cancer treatment, or congenital anomalies, with a focus on preserving vital functions such as breathing, swallowing, and speaking.
Dr. Jones works closely with Dr. Stavan Patel, performing complex reconstruction for cancer or trauma to the head and neck. Dr. Patel is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who graduated from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, completed his Medical School and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at LSUHSC-Shreveport where he also completed a Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery, as well as a Fellowship in Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery.
They understand the unique challenges and complexities associated with head and neck reconstruction.
“Dr. Stavan Patel and Dr. Lloyd Jones working together, as the cancer is being removed the reconstructive process begins.”
